Feeding my starter is one of those simple rhythms that everything else builds on 🤍

This has become my go-to method, and it’s made such a difference in how my starter performs. Using a higher flour-to-starter ratio gives it more fresh food to work through, which helps keep it active, balanced, and strong — instead of tipping too far into that overly acidic, sluggish stage.

It’s a small adjustment, but it leads to better rise, more consistent bakes, and a flavor that feels just right. A well-fed starter really does change everything.

My go-to feeding ratio:
1 part starter
3 parts flour
1 part water

Simple, reliable, and it keeps my starter thriving and ready whenever I am 🥖✨

Soft, simple, and made to turn an everyday moment into something a little more special ✨

This hand scrub gently buffs away the day, leaving your skin smooth, nourished, and lightly scented with nature’s best.

Don’t toss those citrus peels 🤍

This is one of my favorite simple swaps for a fresh, natural home.

Just citrus + rosemary, left to infuse slowly… creating the most refreshing, effective base for everyday cleaning. It smells clean and bright without any synthetic fragrance, and it’s such an easy way to use what you already have.

I love keeping a jar of this going in the kitchen, it’s one of those small habits that makes your home feel more intentional and lived-in.

Once it’s ready, just strain and mix with water for a simple, non-toxic cleaner you can use all over your home ✨

Final mix:
equal parts infused vinegar + water

Simple ingredients. A fresh home. Nothing extra.

These are moon cake molds, and they make the most adorable shapes 🤍

I love finding simple tools that make everyday things feel a little more special and these are one of those.

Instead of plain, boring tabs, you can turn something as practical as cleaning your garbage disposal into something fun and intentional. Little details like this just make home care feel less like a chore and more like part of the rhythm of your day.

They’re perfect for pressing homemade cleaning tabs, and honestly… they make the cutest little shapes.

Such a simple, satisfying way to elevate an everyday task ✨

Somewhere along the way, “convenience” became the goal…

but so many of us are finding our way back 🤍

Back to slow, intentional tasks.

Back to making things by hand.

Back to the kind of skills our grandmothers used every single day.

There’s something grounding about it, mixing, melting, creating… knowing exactly what’s going into the products we use in our homes and on our bodies.

What used to feel like “old-fashioned” is starting to feel like a quiet kind of luxury. A return to simpler rhythms. A way to be more connected to our homes, our routines, and the things we use every day.

It’s not about doing everything perfectly… just choosing a few things to make, to learn, and to slow down with.

And honestly, there’s a lot of joy in that 🤍

There’s something so satisfying about taking a raw, simple ingredient and turning it into something truly useful 🤍

From suet to a clean, solid tallow cake — this process is slow, simple, and so worth it.

Rendering tallow is one of those foundational skills that connects you back to more traditional, intentional living. No shortcuts, no unnecessary ingredients — just time, patience, and a transformation that gives you a beautiful base for so many natural products.

This is what I use in my balms, creams, and so many everyday staples in my home. Once you start making your own, it’s hard to go back.

Simple ingredients. Thoughtful process. Products you can feel good about.

Making your own balm is one of the simplest ways to start creating natural products at home 🤍

At the most basic level, you only need three things:

a butter, an oil, and a wax.

The butter brings richness and nourishment to the skin.

The oil adds glide and softness.

The wax helps everything set and gives the balm structure.

From there, it’s all about the ratio.

Want something soft and creamy for a body balm? Use more butter and oil.

Need a firmer balm for lips or something that can live in your bag? Increase the wax.

Looking for a silky hand balm? Adjust the oil until it feels just right.

Once you understand that simple balance, you can create so many different products — lip balms, hand balms, body balms, salves, and more — all from the same three foundational ingredients.

It’s simple, customizable, and one of my favorite ways to keep my routine natural and intentional.
