* WHAT...Blizzard conditions. Conditions will rapidly change from
fair to whiteout. Additional snow accumulations up to one inch.
Winds gusting as high as 55 mph.

* WHERE...Portions of north central and northwest Iowa.

* WHEN...Until 9 PM CST this evening.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday evening commute. Strong winds could cause tree damage and dangerous driving conditions particularly for high profile vehicles.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Travel should be restricted to emergencies only. If you must travel,
have a winter survival kit with you. If you get stranded, stay with
your vehicle.
