..WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON CST TODAY.....BLIZZARD WARNING WILL EXPIRE AT 9 AM CST THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Blowing snow continues. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph
with visibilities under a mile possible.

* WHERE...Portions of north central into northwestern Iowa.

* WHEN...Until noon CST today.

* IMPACTS...The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday morning commute.

* WHAT...Blizzard conditions. Additional snow accumulations up to
two inches. Winds gusting over 50 mph.

* WHERE...Portions of central, north central, northeast, northwest,
and west central Iowa.

* WHEN...Until 9 AM CST this morning.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. Widespread blowing
snow could significantly reduce visibility and whiteout
conditions. The hazardous conditions will impact the Monday
morning commute. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Travel should be restricted to emergencies only. If you must travel,
have a winter survival kit with you. If you get stranded, stay with
your vehicle.

FROM KGLO NEWS --- INTERSTATE 35 CLOSED IN NORTHERN IOWA UNTIL MONDAY --- From the Minnesota DOT --- I-35 SB at Albert Lea is closing because Iowa DOT closed the highway in north Iowa. It is expected that I-35 in Iowa will reopen on Monday. I-35 southbound is also currently closed between Owatonna and north of Albert Lea due to crashes.

FROM KGLO NEWS ----INTERSTATE 35 CLOSED between the Avenue of the Saints/US Highway 18 near Clear Lake to Ames --- and US Highway 18 is closed from the US Highway 65 exit to Interstate 35 due to blizzard conditions.
