Tonight, I’m thrilled to welcome Gina DiGuardia and Andrea Bellisimo-House, the former and current owners of the legendary Bridal Suite in Bay Shore, NY!
� Over 40 years of generational entrepreneurship…
� A family business built on dreams, hard work and dedication…
� And a legacy of women empowering women!
The story began in 1964, when Gina’s parents, Peter and Doris, opened their first “one-stop shopping” store in Patchogue at just 27 years old. What started as a dream became a true family affair—and eventually grew into a franchise with more than 10 locations, including stores in New Jersey and Florida.
� Their commitment to their customers earned numerous Best of Long Island honors, but perhaps their greatest achievement was their promise to NEVER MISS A WEDDING—through fires, floods and even a pandemic!
In 1996, Gina joined her mother Doris as co-owner, continuing the family legacy. Then came the next generation…
� In 2021, Andrea Bellisimo-House became the owner after years as a manager. Her own Bridal Suite story began when she walked through the doors as a young woman to purchase her prom dress!
And the family connection continues—all four of Gina’s children have worked at various Bridal Suite locations.
In 2021, the business evolved again, with Rosa Velasquez taking on the alterations side, creating an even more specialized experience.
