Last three days of the season. January goose season saved the season for us here in Ohio. It was a rough one for sure. Can’t think of the last time i killed more geese than ducks but it’s definitely been awhile.

The last few weeks have been productive!Hopefully sneak a few more in before it’s over.

Take a kid hunting.
We were finally able to convince my aunt and uncle that my not so little little cousin could come out and give Hunting a try. He’s been begging for years.
We saw thousands of geese and were able to trick two into the decoys right where we wanted them. I think he’s pretty excited to get back out in a few weeks.

Roads was as mad at the birds this morning as a high school senior pounding monsters on his way to the field with a new barrel “run it to the plug” barrel sticker.
Don’t know what got into the dog this morning but there was something about these 6 geese that had him going harder then he has all season.

Ohio is trying to turn me into a goose hunter. At least today we got to do it over water.
Heavy winds kept the birds low with no room to circle the tiny farm pond. Wings locked, heads up, and feet down from the moment they cleared the neighbors hedgerow.
Today was Jeff’s first hunt other then deer, I think he’s hooked.
19/20 birds pictured, number 20 decided to help with the pack out and fall right next to the truck.
