A widely known jazz clarinet player from Detroit, Dave Bennett joined forces with Marmite Records last year to depart from his swing-infused notoriety and take on the role of original guitarist and vocalist.

His debut album with Marmite - Nowhere Fast- combines reverb-laden guitar licks reminiscent of Dick Dale with the thought-provoking lyricism of Orbison to bring a fresh take to the 1960s surf rock genre.

Meet the incomparable, guitar-slinging rocker Chris Shutters.

Chris is an adept guitarist, pianist, and flutist who incorporates his multi-instrumentalist finesse into each song he composes, creating a seamless marriage between nostalgic blues, adrenaline-boosting rock, and raw ballads.

In May 2022, Marmite released his self-titled studio album, Shutters. His first record with Marmite, this marks his fifth full-length album release since his flourishing career began nearly 25 years ago. We are grateful to be a part of his journey and look forward to a prosperous future!
