Album Review! This time Joe and I go over the latest offering from Maltese death metal veterans Beheaded with their new album "Għadam". While this band has been churning out solid brutal death metal since the late 90's within the last few years they've been expanding their sound quite a bit. Naturally it's still heavy as hell with it's blast beats and savage riffing but there's more attention to atmosphere and creating songs that are sinister and ominous as they are chuggy and aggressive. If you're a big fan of bands like Morbid Angel, Devangelic, Hideous Divinity and mid period Behemoth then definitely check this one out! 🤘😈

Album Review! This time Jon and I go over the latest offering from Swedish black metal act Jordfäst with their new album "Blodsdåd och hor". We got turned on to this bad a few years back with their last album by our buddy and Birdflesh guitarist Elis Edin Markskog as he plays almost everything in this band as well as doing clean vocals and while we liked the last one a lot this one might be even stronger. While both are backed with killer riffs, huge sweeping melodies and dynamic songwriting this one is bolder, stronger and even more of an epic but dark adventure of an album. If you're a big fan of bands like Enslaved, Dissection, Bathory and even a bit of Emperor then definitely check this one out! 🤘😈

Album Review! This time I go over the latest offering from Colorado brutal death metal act Cordyceps with their new album "Hell Inside". Man, is this an intense listen. I had kind of only glanced over this bands stuff before so this was my first time jamming and entire album of theirs and this is pretty monstrous. Blasts, brutal chugging and giant sized slams a plenty but also a ton of sinister, ominous atmosphere to give this an evil tinge to balance out all the brutality here. If you're a big fan of bands like Disgorge (US), early Aborted, Gorgasm and Suffocation then definitely check this one out! 🤘😈

Album Review! This time I go over the debut full length from New Jersey/ DC death metal duo Kontusion with their album "Insatiable Lust for Death". Featuring current and former members of band like Repulsion, Iron Reagan, Coffin Dust, Mammoth Grinder and Magrudergrind I was pretty stoked for this one. Their 2022 demo was a monster of a listen and this might have been even more intense. The songs are short, explosive and raw as hell give this band a rotten, thick, murky sound chock full of savage riffs and primal drum work. If you're a big fan of bands like Concrete Winds, Incantation, Autopsy and early Bolt Thrower then definitely check this one out! 🤘😈

Album Review! This time I go over the latest offering from Richmond, VA/ intergalactic warlords GWAR with their new EP "The Return of Gor-Gor". Give how much of a downer the tail end of this month has been some levity was needed and GWAR always delivers on that (among other things). This EP not only re-introduces one of GWAR's most iconic "villains" it also marks the bands 40th anniversary and does with some style, riffs and of course their brand of over the top hilarity. If you're a long time GWAR fan and just a fan of 90's oddities in music in general then definitely check this one out! 🤘😈

Got my latest package from The Metalhead Box and once again got some killer stuff (signed stuff is back!). Sadly, right before recording this was when I found out we lost Ozzy so this also became a bit of a tribute to him. Still feels surreal like every metalhead lost their dad overnight but those cherished memories of seeing both Ozzy and Black Sabbath in the past really mean even more now. RIP Ozzy. 🤘😔

Album Review! This time Jon and I go over the debut full length from Polish death metal act Clairvoyance with their album "Chasm of Immurement". As Poland's metal scene seems to be perpetually ripe with killer death metal we were pretty stoked to go over this one. This album is dense, cavernous and murky as well with it's swampy riffs and almost damp atmosphere. While it might be hard to distinguish from a lot of similar, cavernous death metal acts they still execute this sound nearly flawlessly. If you're a big fan of bands like Tomb Mold, Mortiferum, Dead Congregation and Incantation then definitely check this one out! 🤘😈

Album Review! This time Jon and I go over the latest offering from Seattle death metal act Reburied with their new album "Flesh Mourning". We were looking forward to this one as we were both bog fans of their debut but this sophomore album is a bit different. This band got even heavier between albums apparently. While atmosphere still plays a big part this feel way more focused on heavier, more chunky riffs, headbanging groove and sinister tremolo harmonies all packed with a ton of old school, 90's death metal charm. If you're a big fan of bands like Incantation, Tomb Mold, Autopsy and Witch Vomit then definitely check this one out! 🤘😈

Album Review! This time Jon and I go over the latest offering from Russian deathcore/ nu metal act Slaughter to Prevail with their new album "Grizzly". Man... this was bad. While going over stuff that's chuggy and dumb is a thing we do often on this channel it's generally pretty enjoyable like dumb action movie. This is just a weak mess of poorly constructed songs, bro-centric lyrics and over the top production masking bland riffs. Sure, it's heavy but that's square one with metal and it never really gets past that point. Still if you're a fan of bands like Lorna Shore, Slipknot and think Michael Bay movies are "cinematic art" then definitely check this one out! 🤘😈

Album Review! This time I go over the latest offering from Washington black metal act Abigail Williams with their new album "A Void Within Existence". Being a fan of this band from virtually their start I've watched their sound twist and morph subtly from album to album. That change could be large in part to frequent line up shifts but with a more stable line here lately I think this band may have crafted their strongest album. While still rich with black metal tremolos, blasts and cavernous screams this album incorporates more dynamic in the songwriting and packs as much of an emotional punch as it does a riffy one. If you're a big fan of bands like Enslaved, Wayfarer, Cult of Luna and Deafheaven then definitely check this one out! 🤘😈

Album Review! This time Joe and I go over the latest offering from Swedish death metal veteran Entrails with their new album "Grip of Ancient Evil". While this band's existence goes back as far as the early 90's they did start cranking out HM2 drenched death metal until the late 2000's and have been pretty consistent about it. Every album is chock full of nasty riffs, crusty d-beats and just that tried and true style of death metal that's worked for years. Meat & potatoes death metal is generally a lot of fun but I have to say this one could have stood a bit more in the way of seasoning. Still, if you're a fan of bands like Entombed, Dismember, Carnage and Grave then definitely check this one out! 🤘😈
