Shape masking is a tedious task. Going frame by frame on this 15 second clip is going to take forever. But I think the end result will be pretty cool. We will see.
15 second clip x 24fps timeline = 360 control point keyframes.

All about dat timeline! I edited a few Zoom dance recitals the other day. What an interesting experience. Each dancer got their own video track. I cropped and transformed their window to fit on screen in a pleasing way. Used live backgrounds for fun. We are living in new and interesting times.

G’day mates. In today’s we will discuss formatting a video in FCPX to be used as an instagram story. You can achieve this in two ways: format your timeline before beginning a project to custom 1080x1920. Or if your project is already complete. Modify your project timeline (purple button) and change to custom 1080x1920. Then use the transform button and adjust each clip to fit in the window. Ask me questions.

I had a lot of issues running on my 2014 MacBook Air. Apple recommends at least 4GB RAM. It seems to run smoothly if it’s the only application open. Occasionally, it will freeze up. I either quit the program and relaunch or reboot the computer. Let me know if you have similar issues and solutions.
