Stop getting played by “Protein-Packed” labels.

Yeah, that bar shouting “HIGH PROTEIN!” on the front? Chances are… it’s not even close.

The real test isn’t the bold font — it’s calories vs protein.

The Rule:
✅ 1 gram of protein for every 10 calories or fewer = actually high-protein

10g protein in 100 calories ✅ (real deal)

10g protein in 400 calories ❌ (marketing stunt)

Why this matters:

You want protein that actually fills you, stabilizes energy, and supports muscle.

Fancy packaging doesn’t do squat for your goals.

Pro Tip:
Stop staring at the word Protein on the front.
Do the math: Calories ÷ Protein ≤ 10.

If it’s higher, it’s not high-protein — it’s just pretending.

I’m honestly tired of watching diet culture butcher basic nutrition.

“Cut carbs.”
“Carbs make you fat.”
“Low carb = healthy.”

And people just follow it. No questions asked.

Here’s the part that should bother you:

Fiber is a carbohydrate.

The same carb category you were told to slash.

Fiber helps regulate blood sugar.
Supports gut health.
Improves cholesterol markers.

And people are out here bragging about avoiding it.

Then there’s sugar.

Total sugar on a label is not the same as added sugar.

Fruit comes packaged with fiber.
Added sugar is engineered into processed food to keep you hooked.

Same word. Completely different impact.

Diet culture doesn’t teach you how to read a label.
It teaches you how to fear one.

Stop blindly following trends.
Start asking:

How much fiber?
How much added sugar?
What’s the actual food source?

Carbs aren’t the issue.
Ignorance — and the willingness to follow it — is.
