Music has taken me places I never imagined I’d go.

I’ve played for empty rooms where the staff outnumbered the audience. I’ve played for crowds so large that the lights made it impossible to see where the people ended.

Both experiences meant more than I realized at the time.

The small shows taught me how to keep going when nobody was watching. The big shows taught me not to take a single opportunity for granted.

These days, when I look back, I don’t think about how many people were in the crowd. I think about how fortunate I’ve been to do something I love for so long.

Every stage mattered.
Every song mattered.
Every person who listened mattered.

And for that, I’ll always be grateful.
