The time Wynonna Judd thought Selena was the chef. 🍳 👩🍳
Selena traveled to Tennessee to record her English album, she arrived on the doorstep of the Bennett House, where Wynonna Judd was also recording that week.
Selena was clutching new clothes from Wal-Mart (the airline had lost her luggage), bought food, and was in the studio kitchen preparing a Mexican feast for the production team.
Wynonna Judd, working in another studio, saw Selena cooking and, not recognizing her, assumed she was the hired chef. Wynonna then asked Selena if she would mind cooking for her and her crew as well, if she were to buy the groceries.
Selena is said to have politely corrected the misunderstanding but, being the humble person she was, still prepared dinner for Wynonna and her team. The story has been widely circulated as a testament to Selena's down-to-earth nature. 💜
