Happy Samhain, Dia de los Mu***os, and/or Halloween! Whether you are staying home, having supper with loved ones, or taking children around town I hope your holiday passes safely and well. Halloween has always been my favorite holiday.

I know that ads for winter holidays before Halloween are annoying but for many authors and small businesses being prepared before that holiday season also means talking about what they will be having ready for those who are buying ahead.

There is going to be a lot to see.

The countdown to the Expo has begun and we're excited to share this incredible experience with you! To make this event a huge success, we need your help to spread the word. This two-day celebration is packed with family-friendly fun, including a spectacular cosplay contest on Sunday. We are happy to announce Purple Dragon Games will be joining us for the show. Tickets will only be sold at the door.

Knock on wood and keep your fingers crossed for Alexander Saunders. I just finished sending off a query about getting Treasure of the Ancient Wizards into one of Humble Bundle's upcoming bundles.
Did you know some of our audiobooks are on Spotify? For now it is some of Teresa Garcia and Elizabeth Buckley's books. Once others are available you'll be able to look there in addition to Amazon, Gumroad, and the publishing website's direct sales. I can also be asked to run up physical cd copies.
So far things are still on track to have his book "The Other Workers of Santa Claus" ready for the 2025 holiday season. I'll post an update when preorders will be able to open.

I am exhausted and in pain after three days running the book booth at the Fiesta, but not in as much pain as I would have been without the help I received from my son, his Compass worker, and my family. It was a nice time, I spoke to several wonderful people about illustration and about the published books, and about the publishing process itself to those interested in what goes into bringing a book from an idea to print.
Again, I'm exhausted. That was a lot more vertical than I have done for some time, other than long-distance doctor trips, and a great deal more social encounters in a day than my normal. I need recovery time. However, even with the need to recover and return to base-line I am pleased that this year's Fiesta was easier on me than past ones. The surgeries have done what they needed. I just have to be patient with the rebuilding process.
Please remember that you do not have to only buy books during any local events I am well enough to run a booth at. You can buy books from my company online, write to order specific ones, and ask your local book stores to order our books.
