KVSA KVSA, 1220 AM - Playing from country and today's hits as well as old time favorites, and keeping you The station plays a range of country to pop to rock.

KVSA is a local radio station located on Highway 65, halfway between McGehee and Dermott. It also gives regular weather forcasts, news updates, and emergency broadcasts. KVSA is 58 years old and was established by Abbott F. Kinney in 1953. KVSA is a local nostalgic landmark as well as a part of history that is continually growing and expanding. It's rich heritage has brought many talentented and amazing people through it's door, including the king of rock himself, Elvis Presley.

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the closing of KVSA. Several factors contributed to the closing of the station. Thank each of you familiar with the station for listening and for your encouragment through the 67 years of braodcasting. As of 1 p.m. today, March 3, 2020, KVSA will be silent forever...

Been a while since we’ve posted anything. Thought I’d say “hey” and show y’all this. Seen this cat a few times here at the station lately. Weird cat. It wasn’t sneaking up on anything. That’s the way it walks. Seriously. Boy, when they leave the city they’re always the weirdos. But I guess I shouldn’t judge. Hope y’all have a great day!

Flash flooding is likely to begin tomorrow and continue through Sunday night as Tropical Storm Barry moves north through our region. Widespread rainfall amounts of 4 to 8 inches are expected, with parts of Louisiana and Mississippi expected to see 7 to 12 inches with isolated higher amounts of 15 or more inches possible. Areas of significant flash flooding will be possible in southwest MS and south-central LA. For areas in the KVSA listening area such as Eudora, Greenville, Cleveland, Lake Providence and Rolling Fork, amounts of 4-8” and isolated amounts of 10” are possible. 2-5” are possible for SE Arkansas areas including Lake Village, Dermott, McGehee, Monticello, Hamburg and Crossett.
