This year, the 18 students who wrote for the McHenry Messenger published 17 print issues and posted 200 stories.

These stories ranged from the serious — involving ICE protests, SNAP benefits, war in Iran, student safety and severe weather — to lighter stories about Nee-Dohs, hacky-sacking, and 7Brew.

This team also shook up its social media presence, sent nine students to state, and won some impressive awards. These amazing journalists deserve appreciation for the hard work they’ve done to serve our school community.

The Messenger might post a story or two over the summer. Until then, HAGS.

Today our broadcast class spent class reminiscing on the year and enjoying lots of food. Thank you so much to all of the members of this year’s Warrior Weekly family, this year has been truly unforgettable. We’ve made some of the best episodes of the Warrior Weekly that we’ve had, and shared lots of laughs together. Can’t wait for next year and to continue the legacy we’re leaving for MCHS.
