A Protestant pastor in Vietnam has been sentenced to seven-and-a-half years behind bars as the government continues its crackdown on independent Christian communities. Pastor Y Nuen Ayun, a member of the Montagnard ethnic minority, was convicted of “undermining the national unity policy” after authorities targeted his involvement with a church. He will also face another four years of government supervision after completing his prison sentence.

Vietnamese authorities accuse Ayun of organizing Christian gatherings and participating in activities connected to separatism, but religious-freedom advocates say Christians in the Central Highlands are being punished simply for practicing their faith outside government-controlled religious institutions. Our brother in Christ now faces years behind bars, but prison walls cannot silence the Gospel. Let us pray for Pastor Y Nuen Ayun, his family, and every Christian courageously following Jesus in Vietnam.

A new movement called Run With Christ is rapidly gaining momentum among young people, blending physical fitness with faith in a way that is drawing crowds in cities across the country. Launched in 2024 by Will Garinger, the idea started simply—gather young adults in local parks to run together, build friendships, and talk about Jesus. But what began as a small gathering quickly spread as more people were drawn to the combination of community, movement, and spiritual encouragement. Today, groups in dozens of cities meet regularly to run side by side, worship together, and listen to short devotional messages centered on the Gospel.

The heart behind the movement is simple: many young people feel isolated and disconnected, and Run With Christ aims to replace that loneliness with real relationships and faith-centered community. Participants often end the gatherings praying together and encouraging one another to get connected with local churches. In a generation often described as spiritually drifting, this movement is showing the opposite—Gen Z searching for purpose, building authentic friendships, and quite literally running toward Jesus.

Benaiah’s incredible accomplishments included going down into a pit on a snowy day and killing a lion. He didn’t wait for the danger to climb out—he went down and confronted it. (2 Samuel 23:20)

Some battles won’t disappear because you ignore them. There are moments when faith requires courage, movement, and confrontation. Stop allowing fear to decide how far you’re willing to go.

Paul remembered Onesiphorus because he repeatedly refreshed him and wasn’t ashamed of Paul’s imprisonment. When association with Paul could have been uncomfortable or dangerous, Onesiphorus still showed up. (2 Timothy 1:16–18)

It’s easy to stand beside someone when everything is going well. Real friendship becomes visible when life falls apart. Sometimes the greatest ministry you can give someone is simply refusing to disappear.

Christian ministries are stepping into devastated Midwest communities after historic flooding left families displaced and homes filled with water and debris. Convoy of Hope has delivered more than 100,000 pounds of essential supplies to thousands of people in Indiana, while Samaritan’s Purse volunteers are helping families in Ohio and Indiana tear out damaged materials, clear debris and begin the difficult process of rebuilding.

But these ministries are bringing more than food, water and cleanup crews. Christian volunteers and chaplains are praying with hurting families, encouraging those who have lost so much and sharing the hope found in Jesus Christ. When disaster strikes, the Church has an opportunity to become the hands and feet of Jesus—meeting physical needs while reminding brokenhearted people that God has not forgotten them.
