The Corson/Sioux County News-Messenger is the child of the McLaughlin Messenger and many other papers that come before it across the Corson and Sioux county areas.

4 PM UPDATE: IT COULD TAKE A COUPLE OF HOURS TO COMPLETE THE REPAIRS.

ATTENTION RIDGEVIEW, LAPLANTE, AND SWIFTBIRD MEMBERS!!

A 3-Phase pole has been hit near LaPlante. In order to assess and repair the pole, we must shut power off east of the Ridgeview Sub.

This will affect members east of that substation, including the communities of Ridgeview, LaPlante, and Swiftbird.

Thank you for your patience during this emergency repair. Stay clear of downed power lines, and give crews plenty of space to work!
