Such a great addition to the community. There are limited paddles and balls to use, so would still recommend bringing your own. There is not much shade so bring your hats on a sunny day. Enjoy!

Today’s matcha - my preference is a simple matcha latte 🍵

✨ soak matcha whisk in hot water
✨1 tsp matcha [ideally sifted]
✨1/4 cup 75 deg C hot water
✨3/4 cup oat milk
✨1 tsp salted maple vanilla syrup
✨rose petals to garnish
✨used my frother to make a creamier version

✨ Currently in their soft opening phase & still fine-tuning recipes. The barista was super kind about making sure we liked our drinks and asking for feedback!
✨ TRY Misugaru latte (Korean multigrain latte) or strawberry yogurt latte at 60 percent sweetness
✨ Pastry picks: the leeks pastry was our favorite! The pistachio chocolate roll was good but a bit on the sweet side.
✨ Cream filled churros were too sweet for our taste & the custard crepe cake was a miss for us. ✨ Limited selection right now since it’s still a soft opening, but definitely want to come back once they’re fully up and running to try more pastries!

The saucer magnolias at the Enid A. Haupt Garden / Smithsonian Gardens are just past peak bloom so catch them while you can! Peak bloom for cherry blossom is this weekend but I would recommend checking them out now! 🌸

It’s our favorite time of year! Peak bloom is around the corner!

✨ 🎥 taken today 03/23/26, stage 5/6 of peak bloom
✨ Expected peak bloom: March 29 – April 1st [I feel it will be sooner though considering the conditions today!]
✨ Go early morning to beat the crowds
✨ Take the Metro — Smithsonian or L’Enfant Plaza stop
✨ 🅿️ East Potomac Park / Haines Point — less crowded & free
✨ This year I parked near West Potomac Park & started at the MLK side instead of the Thomas Jefferson side
✨ The Tidal Basin loop is 1.9 miles so wear comfy 👟
