Austin update:
Austin is working so hard and his faith in Christ shines through this challenging trial. He told me the other night, that everyday is hard, everyday is a hurdle but he feels that God is going to fully heal him. I feel that too🙌🏼 power of prayer! He feels that he is the same person as he was before his injury but his body isn’t working the way he wants it to. It will take time, all in Gods timing. Austin had an eye appointment last week to figure out what he can see and what we can do for his vision. They feel he has no vision in his right eye but his retina is still attached. That gives us hope that he could heal and have vision back someday. God works in mysterious ways! We are waiting to hear back from another Neuro-eye Doctor to get more opinions and what our options are for him. Austin is staying very positive with this whole injury, what a blessing just for me as his wife to see because I try to stay positive for him but with his positive attitude it makes taking care of him-such a joy. Seeing the one you married and the one you love so much go through such a hard time is hard to watch. Seeing Austin push through, work hard, show kindness and determination…makes me so confidently sure I married the right man. What a strong Godly man for our sons to see and watch their Dad work hard and lean into God for strength. Thank you Jesus for Austin, thank you God for opportunities to glorify You and thank you for Austin’s beautiful personality. Austin has OT and PT therapy 2 times a week that helps him relearn daily life tasks. He still sits in his wheelchair 90%of the day but he doesn’t wanna. If you know Austin and saw him working at Dottie’s, that man never stopped moving. Ran around that Dottie’s property doing all the things! So he has a desire to get back and get moving. 🙌🏼 I felt bad, I had not updated anyone on Austin’s recovery in many weeks. With the holidays, time was focused on family and keeping things going. I was reading through John this morning and I felt this spoke to me… “But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you.' I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid”.
Do not find peace in anything other than The Father. Do not find that temporary peace the world gives. The world does not love you, it fails but Yahweh never fails! Thank you God for love, thank you Jesus for salvation and thank you Holy Spirit for comfort.
Thank you to all whole care so much for our family! Thank you for your continued prayers!
