💕New weight categories with updated pricing.
💕Pups are weighed at each appointment. Feel free to ask for your pups updated weight if you wish 🥰
💕ALL services are all inclusive, here’s what that means:

✨✨✨ALL packages include a bath with luxurious and quality products that meets your dog’s individual coat type and needs, a blow out, brushing, and nail, ear and teeth care PLUS complimentary bandanas and goodies to go home!

🎀A Full Groom is for those pups that need “the works.” Think full haircuts, big double coats needing deshedding, extra brushing, outline trims, etc.

💅🏻A Mini Groom is for those pups whose coats are perfect just the way they are and require only cleaning up of the “face, feet & fanny.”

🛁Bath packages are reserved for short haired breeds only and still include deshedding services if necessary!

💕Please Note - pricing is an estimate. Upcharges may occur for coats in bad condition, Doodle and Poodle types kept in longer coats, excessive bad behavior or broken equipment, and/or pups that require extra time for grooming, etc. In some circumstances, pups are done much quicker than anticipated and may result in a lesser charge as well.

‼️INCOMING EDUCATIONAL POST‼️

When Bullets mom inquired about getting him groomed back in April, she wanted to shave him short as they had been having done elsewhere. After some conversation and discussing all the potential risks of continuing to do so to his double coat, we concluded it would be best to try growing him out and healing his coat instead.

You see, they didn’t realize that in trying to make Bullet more comfortable they were actually doing him a disservice. Double coats have many purposes - including keeping your pups COOL in the summer 😎 I won’t ramble on (I’m more than happy to educate via messenger if you have questions though!) but I will say after today’s appointment and feedback from Bullets mom, I’m SO happy she trusted me and I will continue to advocate for the dogs best interest when it comes to their grooming needs! 🥰 I wish I had taken a photo of him on his first day here to see how far his coat has truly come!

Disclaimer before somebody comes for me: 😅 There are always exceptions to the rule such as severe matting/impacted coat, health conditions, comfort grooms for seniors, etc ☺️

Pepper (on the left) was the dog that put owning a Standard Poodle on my bucket list after the very first time meeting her.

Rosie (on the right) showed up 7 or so months later and checked that off the list. Rosie was my inspiration for rebranding to The Velvet Pup as I am absolutely loving learning so much more about up-leveling my grooming and exploring creative grooming with her. So I guess, inadvertently, Pepper held an important role in this new direction too!

Today, I couldn’t help but snap a quick photo of them together during Peppers spa day. They’re obviously in very different clips, and Rosie looks bigger (it’s just the angle) but the resemblance is undeniable. If that’s not manifestation at its finest, idk what is!

If you’ve never had the chance to be owned by a Poodle, you’re missing out! 💖

It’s that time again, time to update forms! I will have these for everyone at their next appointment to take and bring back signed at pick up 🙂

I just want to note - no policy has been made for any one person, dog or incident! I try to be as reasonable as possible and know sometimes things happen, etc so if you’ve ever done any of these things listed, don’t feel bad 😆
