"Three generations of my family grew up with PBS. I come from the world of Mister Rogers, Sesame Street, Arthur, Masterpiece Theater, Great Performances and News Hour. It is here where I learned who I could be and how I could be of service. Let’s stay tuned for one another." — Yo-Yo Ma

"PBS is remaining steadfast in its mission to provide free access to the arts."

Tonight at 9pm, Great Performances will broadcast Twelfth Night. And not just any production of Twelfth Night — the one that ran this past summer at Shakespeare in the Park in New York, starring Lupita Nyong'o, Peter Dinklage, Sandra Oh, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, and a host of others.

"When I was a kid, I used to watch PBS. I’d watch Sesame Street -- and I loved Jim Henson and all his puppets. I learned a lot. One of my favorite things was this little cartoon that taught me how to count to 12. It was really good music, really good animation, and it fired up my creativity like crazy. It inspired me and made me a better person.” — Jack Black
