It’s more than a horse sale. It’s a day we hope the whole family looks forward to every year!

The Wyo Ranch Horse Sale is a little different than your traditional horse sale, and we’re proud of that.

We want buyers to see these horses do a job, not just watch a polished preview. You’ll see them in the branding pen, on the trail course, in the arena and doing the jobs they’re expected to do back home.

You’ll know who is behind each horse, where they came from and what they’ve actually done. Buyers are encouraged to ask questions, inspect the horses and ride them before sale day.

We’ve been getting tons of messages from consignors about how excited they are to be part of the sale in 2027 and that’s what we LOVE to hear!

The Wyo Ranch Horse Sale is a little different than most. It’s not held at a fairgrounds or an event center. It happens right here on the Pitchfork Ranch.

We want the weekend to be more than just walking through a barn, watching a preview and bidding on a horse or dog. It’s a chance to watch the horses and dogs work, visit with the people who know them best and spend a weekend with friends after a long winter!

That atmosphere is a huge part of what makes this sale special, and hearing that our consignors are just as excited about 2027 as we are means a lot.

Consignments open in October. We can’t wait to see who joins us next year.

We have a tip for Wyo Ranch Horse Sale consignors this morning!

It’s always worth reaching out to photographers who were at brandings this past spring to see if they happened to get any good photos of your horse.

While saddled and unsaddled photos are the only professional photos we require, having a few good action shots is always a great addition to your horse’s sale photos and really add to the “wow” factor on your horse’s page!

If you’re thinking about consigning a horse or dog to the 2027 Wyo Ranch Horse Sale, now is the time to get those sale photos taken before your horse is all haired up for winter!

Good photos take a little planning, and October 1st will be here before we know it. We’re looking forward to another great set of ranch horses and dogs in 2027.

The numbers are in! Thank you to our consignors, buyers, sponsors, staff, and everyone who helped make the 2026 Wyo Ranch Horse Sale possible.

This year’s sale saw a top-selling horse bring $70,000, a Top 4 Average of $54,000, a Top 20 Average of $38,575, and an overall sale average of $26,177.

We’re proud of the horses and dogs represented in this year’s sale and grateful for the support that continues to make this event possible year after year.
