Read the September 29, 2025 issue of BBN, now available online and around town. The Space Coast HBCA Parade of Homes runs from Sept 26th through Oct 5 with models throughout the county. The Showcase Community is Aripeka and the Showcase Home is built by Joyal Homes. Sharing the story are Tom Hull, Tori Thomas, Megan Ross, Scott Miller, Todd Pokrywa and John Thomas.
Steve Kane is executive director of the newly opened Aerospace and Defense Training Center on Chaffee Drive in Titusville. ADTC’s courses and programs are positioned to help fill the skills gap in the manufacturing and defense sectors on the Space Coast. ADTC offers an opportunity for people to gain critical workforce skills in just six weeks. All the ADTC courses lead to industry certifications.
Jody Carter is the owner and operator of Art Expressions Fine Custom Framing & Gifts on Highland Avenue in the Eau Gallie Arts District of Melbourne. She is a Certified Picture Framer, a designation awarded by the Professional Picture Framers Association, an educational organization. Her full–service shop specializes in expert frame design for shadow boxes, needlepoint artwork, wedding photographs, memorabilia, custom mirrors, and works on canvas.

MIFF is presenting this year’s event October 16 to October 18 at Premier Theatres Oaks 10. The award-winning videographer creates raining videos, clips for advertising and many other video related productions.
Since entering the Palm Bay market three years ago, Christopher Alan Homes has made big strides as a homebuilder catering to first–time and move-up homebuyers. The company recently celebrated its 100th closing in Brevard. Mike Jaffe is vice president of operations for Christopher Alan Homs Florida East Coast division. The homebuilder will feature its St. Augustine model in the upcoming SC HBCA Parade of Homes.
weVENTURE’s IMPACT Summit at Premiere Theaters Oaks 10 will be held October 2. Psychotherapist Dr. Michelle Fynan is the keynote speaker. Five finalists will pitch their businesses to compete for funding. The event will offer a myriad of speakers and breakout sessions. Moon River Café’ & Curiosities is a unique small business. The mother daughter team of Mary Broderick and Kate Broderick opened the business recently in downtown Melbourne. The venue offers breakfast and lunch with plans to start a dinner menu soon and hosts poetry readings, weddings and receptions. Mary’s husband and Kate’s father, Rick Broderick lends a hand on occasion.
Genesis House is hosting its annual fundraising event this fall at the Astronaut Memorial Foundation Center for Space Education. The event raises funds to aid the shelter, which hopes to expand to serve additional clients. Board members, including Stacey Zabinski, Mary Allen, Helene Milbert, Kristen Snyder, Michelle Robinson and John Fielding share the event details.
