The August 18, 2025 BBN is now available online!
Dan Kelley has been promoted to president and CEO Community Credit Union. Kelley, who holds an MBA degree in management and holds industry certifications, now heads an institutions that has more than $1.4 billion in assets, 175 employees and over 55,000 members.

Florida Tech’s Dona Gaylor has been honored with the Myrna P. Hoover Lifetime Impact Award for her work in Career Services. She helps students and graduates find employment, and partners with businesses in the region to assist them with introductions to Florida Tech graduates.

The Florida Association for Child Care Management is growing. The organization provides national accreditation to early learning centers in seven states. FACCM is hosting an open house August 20th. Relentless Equestrian Foundation is hosting ‘Horses Healing Humans’ Gala at the Suntree Country Club on September 6th. The foundation offers equine–assisted therapy to veterans and military families, first responders, and individuals with disabilities. Committee members Renee Torpy, Deborah Carson, Kim Brickler, Jeannette Jarnes, Colby Loveridge, and Scott Loveridge share the details. Sponsorships and tickets are available.

Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine welcomed Class of 2029 at a ‘white coat’ ceremony recently. Area residents Synclair Baker and Sara Somat both graduates of Brevard County High Schools, are members of the class. They hope to practice in Brevard County upon completion of their medical training. ‘

The Greater Palm Bay Chamber of Commerce’s Space Coast Symposium & Expo is set for August 22nd at the Radisson Resort at the Port. Tickets to the event are available. Pineapple Cove Classical Academy is ready for the new school year with construction plans underway for additional classroom facilities and a sports complex complete with rubberized track at the West Melbourne Campus. Manny Ramirez, John Moran, Tara Engeron and Dr. Kelly Gunter share the news.

Bion Davis has been named director of sales at Viera Builders with more than 300 homes under construction. The company is opening several neighborhoods with new floor-plan designs and modern exteriors. Eva Rey, with The Viera Company, adds insight into the exciting new developments in Viera.

Dr. Christiam Hess, has joined the team at Clevens Face and Body Specials. Dr. Hess took a varied career path which included being a professional ballet dancer, on his way to being an award-winning board-certified plastic surgeon. For over five years, Dr. Phillip Barbee, who specializes in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery has been part of the team founded by Dr. Ross Clevens who is medical director of the comprehensive cosmetic services and medical spa center serving Brevard County for over 20 years.

Jeff Joseph, executive designer for Joyal Homes is celebrating his 40th year with the company. The Sandhill Key model home, which Joseph designed, is a finalist for a 2025 Florida Home Builder Association Aurora Award. Company president, Tom Hull, and Joseph talk about the Joyal Coastal Carolina spec home which is for sale in the Aripeka development in Viera.

Tiffany Rosenfield is developing a showcase facility for her growing business Revive Salon & Spa in Melbourne. She is targeting a September opening at the former location of the Melbourne Regional Chamber. Rosenfield’s business includes Downtown Melbourne Salon Suites, which will offer rising entrepreneurs in the salon business a place to start their companies.

Brevard Zoo, known for its oyster-reef restoration work in the Indian River lagoon is also working to rehabilitate orphaned black bear cubs.
