THE SOUL You AVOID
Carl Jung once observed that people will do almost anything to avoid facing themselves.
That IDEAS has stayed with me.
Many of us spend years trying to outrun FEAR, SHAME, GRIEF, REJECTION, ANGER, or the WOUNDS we NEVER CHOSE.
We DISTRACT ourselves with work, relationships, entertainment, addictions, achievements
—even SPIRITUALITY.
Yet whatever REMAINS UNEXAMINED
doesn't DISAPPEAR.
It simply MOVES into THE SHADOWS,
where it QUIETLY INFLUENCES our CHOICES.
The PART of OURSELVES
we REFUSE to ACKNOWLEDGE
often become the VERY FORCES
STEERING "our lives".
SHADOW WORK
isn't about BECOMING DARKER.
It's about BECOMING more WHOLE.
It takes COURAGE
to SIT with THE MEMORIES
we'd RATHER FORGET.
To ADMIT where we've been WRONG.
To FORGIVE OURSELVES
for SURVIVING the ONLY WAY
we KNEW HOW.
To STOP BLAMING "the mirror"
for what IT REFLECTS.
HEALING doesn't BEGIN
when LIFE STOPS HURTING.
HEALING begins the moment
we STOP RUNNING.
Because what you FACE
can be UNDERSTOOD.
What you UNDERSTAND
can be TRANSFORMED.
And what YOU TRANSFORM
can BECOME WISDOM
instead of SUFFERING.
The DEEPEST PRISON is not PAIN.
It's BELIEVING you must KEEP HIDING from IT.
