Congratulations to the track and field athletes on their outstanding performances at the state meet in Sioux Falls!
Junior Ella Boekelheide won the 800-meter run in 2:19.14, 1,600-meter run in 5:09.35, and 3,200-meter run in 11:38.32 and anchored the medley relay team that finished in sixth place in 4:24.29. Boekelheide received Class B Co-MVP!
Seventh-graders Rachel Melius, Brenna Halvorson, and Elexis Kramp ran on the medley relay team with Boekelheide that placed sixth.
The Northwestern girls track team placed eighth.
For the boys, sophomore Ty Boekelheide placed second in triple jump with a leap of 43-8.75.

Congratulations to the track and field teams on their performances at the Dial-a-Move Last Chance Track Meet in Warner!
Girls Results
The girls medley relay team (seventh-graders Rachel Melius, Brenna Halvorson, and Elexis Kramp and junior Ella Boekelheide) broke the school record for the second time this season, improving by seven seconds with a 4:21.79 run and second-place finish!
The girls 4x400-meter relay (seventh-grader Elexis Kramp, junior Sienna Kessler, and sophomores Tara Blachford and Sophia Troske) placed third in 4:27.32.
The girls 4x800-meter relay (Troske, Melius, Halvorson, Blachford) placed third in 10:38.17.
Senior Ana Ratigan placed third in the shot put with a throw of 34-5.25.
Boys Results
Senior Dallas Stoltenberg placed sixth in the discus with a season-best throw of 127-8.
Freshman Troy Nickeson placed eighth in the 800-meter run in 2:34.35.
Junior Jacob Schmitt placed eighth in the 200-meter dash in 25.34.
Senior Josh Thorson placed second in the 400-meter dash in 53.61.
The boys 4x800-meter relay (freshman Will Clemens, junior Carson Ewalt, senior Josh Thorson, and sophomore Ty Boekelheide) placed third in 8:58.15.

Sophomore Tara Blachford placed sixth in the1,600-meter run in a time of 5:53.66
Junior Sienna Kessler placed eighth in the 300-meter hurdles in a time of 54.10.
The girls 4x400-meter relay (seventh-grader Elexis Kramp, junior Sienna Kessler, seventh-grader Brenna Halvorson, Boekelheide) placed sixth in 4:22.76.
The girls 4x800-meter relay (sophomore Sophia Troske, seventh-grader Rachel Melius, Halvorson, Blachford) placed sixth in 10:46.42.
The girls medley relay team (Melius, Halvorson, Kramp, and Troske) placed sixth in a time 4:42.70.
Senior Ana Ratigan placed second in the shot put with a throw of 34-4.

Thorson placed fourth in the 400-meter dash in a time of 54.68 while Clemens placed seventh in 55.88.
