MEET AUTHOR BELLA JAY ( Bella Jay 💜🩷 Your Fav Author Barbie )

For Bella Jay, writing romance is about giving Black characters the freedom to be complicated, imperfect, passionate, and deeply loved.

Miami-bred writer stepped into publishing in 2018 with her debut novel, Power. Since then, she has built an expanding catalog of contemporary Black romance filled with what she affectionately calls SweetSmut, creating unapologetically flawed characters and love stories that allow readers to escape, feel, and see Black love take center stage.

Her catalog includes reader favorites such as Finding Kristmas, Kookie Dough, Bookmarked, 12:01, the Four Letter Word series, and With Kookies on Top. Along the way, Bella has turned her love of books into a growing independent literary brand while remaining committed to writing romance on her own terms.

Inside ARTist Feature Magazine No. 16, Theatre En Black, Bella shares her journey in “Owning Her Lane in Romance,” from stepping out on faith as an independent author to finding her voice, building her readership, and creating the kinds of Black love stories she wanted to see.
Her journey reminds us that sometimes finding your creative lane isn’t about fitting into what’s already there; It’s about trusting your voice enough to create your own.

Memphis soul is stepping onto The Creative Legacy Gala stage.

We’re excited to welcome BIGG DREKA ( Shundreka Morgan ) for a live performance at the inaugural Creative Legacy Gala!

BIGG DREKA is a Memphis recording artist, songwriter, actress, and live performer whose sound brings together the emotion of R&B, the richness of Southern soul, and the unmistakable energy of Memphis. Known for her powerful vocals and commanding stage presence, Dreka brings authenticity to every song and leaves a piece of herself on every stage she touches.

Her commitment to creativity extends beyond her own music. Through Live Memphis Mondays, Dreka has also helped create space for singers, poets, comedians, and independent creatives to step into the spotlight and share their gifts.

The countdown to The Creative Legacy Gala 2026 is officially on, and this is your final opportunity to be in the room.

Ticket sales close THIS FRIDAY, August 28 at 11:59 PM.

On Sunday, September 6, ARTist Feature Magazine will bring together creatives, entrepreneurs, artists, community leaders, and changemakers for an evening celebrating art, influence, creativity, and legacy.
