This year, The Salvation Army of Memphis & the Midsouth is celebrating 125 years of helping men, women and children in HIS NAME without discrimination.
We do that in Memphis across three campuses: The Purdue Center of Hope, The Kroc Center and The Adult Rehabilitation Center on Kirby Whitten Road. Hi there, I am Amy Speropoulos with TSA of Memphis, throughout those 125 years we have worked with countless men, women and children as we’ve helped them through a variety of programs and services. From our Summer Camps to serving people in the community who are homeless and hungry to our Iconic Red Kettle Campaign and Angel Tree Program. Bottom line: We couldn’t do what we do without people in the community who’ve come alongside us as the hands of feet of Jesus Christ in our neighborhoods. One of those men join us this week for Stories Behind the Shield: Walt Drissel.
