❓Have you been here??

I’m standing at the intersection of hope and waiting. It began during the first days of summer and is continuing ahead with no end in sight.

🩷 The waiting place marks the passage of time between endings and beginnings, what was and what will be.

While hope considers that life is still moving forward in the standstill of waiting.

What I know is that it all feels too familiar.

🚦🚥 If you’ve found yourself at the intersection of hope and waiting, you likely experienced a tension inside yourself as you requested answers for what’s next.

The time is hard, good, and holy. God is present, and God has the answers, but you may ask yourself if you dare to persevere through the waiting to get to the other side.

🪧 Let’s explore the middle together.

😢 Like many of you probably did, I went to bed with a heavy heart last night over all the senseless violence and murders happening in our world.

📖 As I woke up this morning, a verse was on my heart. This one is from the story of Joseph in the Bible when he was addressing his brothers - after their betrayal.

Very wisely, he said this to them in Genesis 50:20, “You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.”

🙏🏻 As we process and pray today over all that has happened, be reminded God ALWAYS, ALWAYS works things out for His glory, for His divine purposes, and for our ultimate good that many will be saved.

We pray today for friends and family and those are grieving, but we also pray for the salvation of many souls.

🙌🏻 Let’s pray today that young adults (and others) across the globe will be saved and come to Christ as a result of all that has happened. (People’s hearts are so open & impacted right now!)

📌 Remember: 📌

- Our God saves!

- Our God wastes nothing! He always has a purpose!

- Our God is still on the throne!

- Our God wants many to be saved!

🩵 Let’s pray that He will do amazing things in the aftermath of the awfulness!

🍁 In my reading this morning, I came across this line in Psalm 119:68a, “You are good and do only good;”

A current song shares these same lyrics, “You are good. You can only be good. You can’t be anything else.” (Cody Carnes, “Good.”)

💐 It’s true… Our God is good!

God is always taking care of you and me and He will continue to take care of us!

We can trust the goodness of God as we face our future.

☔️ What happens when the perfect storm hits?

Sometimes, when we’re deep in the storms of life, we lose sight of hope.

*In a hospital room…

*Displaced from a job…

*Battling a disease…

*In a broken relationship…

*Under a mountain of debt…

*Praying for change.

🙌🏻 It can be hard to muster the strength to forge ahead when it feels like you’re drowning.

But the Lord promises to sustain, so ask for his help.

With eyes on God, you can find rays of sunshine in the storm.

☔️ Even in the darkness, the clouds will part, and light will shine through.

😪😫 Feeling Tired Today?

Friend, I see you.

You’ve got a list a mile long, and somehow the day never seems to have enough hours to check off all those boxes.

👍🏻 Believe me, I understand.

The rushing, the doing, the going—some days, it feels as if I stop for even a moment, I’ll fall behind and then flat on my face.

And yet, God whispers, Be still.

❓Are you like me, though?

Do you struggle to be still?

Because I’ll confess that there’s this pressure—mostly self-imposed—to be productive pretty much all of the time.

It’s almost as if I need to justify my presence with productivity.

And if I’m not busy, guilt and doubts of my own self-worth creep in.

🌺 Caretaking... 🌺

Are you taking care of a friend, family member, or loved one right now?

🩷 Caretaking can be amazing and wonderful, but it can also be exhausting and challenging.

Many caretakers get worn out and find themselves in seasons of hardship and even crisis.
