Hagy's Catfish Hotel is classic Tennessee dining.

Golden fried catfish (bone-in and tail-on), hush puppies, good folks, and Tennessee River views since 1938.

Not sponsored — just one of the best Tennessee meals you can have.

Pigeon...Forge? Where'd that name come from? 🕊️🔥

It makes sense when you hear it, tho. It all started with Isaac Love’s forge and a whole sky full of passenger pigeons — so many they broke the branches off trees.

Now we’ve got Dollywood, moonshine, and the Old Mill where it all began.

Boil. Coil. Foil. Let's learn how to talk like a Tennessean.

A particular Southern Appalachian dialect still alive in East Tennessee, Western North Carolina, Northern Alabama, and the rural Middle Tennessee..

And somehow… Roy is still Roy. I don't ask. I just go with it.

Now try it at home:
Wrap that soil in aluminum foil and we’ll boil it in oil.
Tag a Tennessean who talks like this!

The most famous ghost in Memphis haunts the Orpheum Theatre. Her name is Mary, a 12-year-old girl with dark braids, a white dress, black stockings… and no shoes. Her favorite seat? C-5, Box 5, mezzanine level.

Andrew Jackson vs. the Bell Witch
The story is so good, it doesn't matter if it's true or not.
Only in Tennessee, y’all.

10/21/2025

The Bell Witch is Tennessee’s most famous haunting. It started with an odd creature sighting. Some say the "witch" continues its haunt today.

Murfreesboro is the real (and exact) heart of Tennessee.❤️

Tennessee’s Pitty Pat Holler — it sounds sweet, but folks say something dark’s been walking there since the 1860s. Would you go after dark?

10/13/2025

Some say the ghost of Strolling Jim, the first Tennessee Walking Horse champion, still trots through Wartrace. Hoofbeats in the hotel halls… and a legend that just won’t quit.

✅ Stunning front-row seats to the Mississippi River

This is hands-down one of the best spots in Memphis to relax, play, and take in the river.

The Evil Dead Was Shot in Tennessee?!

The Evil Dead was shot right here in good old Tennessee — in Morristown, Tazewell, Tate Springs, and Bridgeport.

Sam Raimi, the guy who later made all those Spider-Man movies, wanted to film in his home state of Michigan — but Tennessee was the only state that showed enthusiasm for the project.

In the movie, a group of college kids heads to an isolated cabin in the Tennessee woods… and all hell breaks loose.
That real-life cabin once stood on Inman Bend Road in what locals call a haunted holler.

💀 The cabin burned years later, leaving only a chimney and bits of the roof.
Nobody knows who torched it — kids, moonshiners, or maybe Raimi himself to keep the evil away.

If spooky Tennessee stuff is your thing… this is your thing.
Y’all come on!
