We are proud to share that Memphis City Beautiful brought home two awards from the 2025 myTDOT/Keep Tennessee Beautiful Biennial Conference this month! We won second place for the Keep America Beautiful State Affiliate Award and third prize in the Public Education category for our Plant for Pollinators program. Thank you to our colleagues throughout Tennessee for your recognition and collaboration!

Thank you to all of the volunteers from University of Memphis, City of Memphis Office of Youth Services' MAP program, and people from across the City who joined City Beautiful and The Friends of Audubon Park this past Saturday. Together, we mulched the young trees and cleaned up litter to maintain this beautiful greenspace.

Thank you to the student volunteers and educators from Memphis Business Academy who helped maintain the pollinator garden at Shelby Farms Park yesterday! These hard-working young people mulched and weeded beds, cleared a greenhouse, and helped prep a new community space near the garden. Volunteering is a great way to build skills and give back!

We are so grateful for this amazing group of park adopters, who are the stewards of 56 parks in our city. They clean up litter, do light greenspace maintenance, and report issues in their parks. Last night they came together for our annual Adopt A Park meeting with City Beautiful, Memphis Parks, and Bloom, and we are delighted to recognize and support their hard work and commitment!

Mayor Paul Young’s Own Your Block initiative calls on faith leaders, churches, and community-based organizations to take pride in their neighborhoods by picking up trash and helping keep Memphis clean.
