Here is a pretty Historic tape machine originally ordered by Memphis Icon , Roland Janes for "SuperSonic Studios" Memphis Tn. These are rare & very few of these were available in the USA. Robby Turner & family after purchasing SuperSonic Studios on Madison Ave , continued to use @ SuperSonic. It was moved to American East Aka Onyx after the closing of SuperSonic. Robby loaned or leased to Bill Glore who ran American Sound Studios Tours , Aka American Recording Studios on Danny Thomas circa 1980 - 1989 . When American Sound ( American Studios) was demolished. The Machine was moved back here during the Turner family's ownership of the Studio from 1978 thru 2005 also during the Easley-McCain era.1990-2005. Machine is a Teac 1 inch. Its heaviest use was was during the SuperSonic Studios era.
We hope to have back in service in the near future. This Machine cost =$ 6200 when purchased in 1969- 1970 . Aprox 50k in 2026 dollars. We have it in Storage ready for a refresh.
