GLDM Government Degree College Hiranagar Organizes Grand Tiranga Rally under ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ Campaign
As part of the ongoing celebrations of the 79th Independence Day and in alignment with the nationwide Har Ghar Tiranga campaign initiated by the Government of India, GLDM Government Degree College, Hiranagar, under the banner of the District Administration, Kathua, organized a Tiranga Rally on the college campus and adjoining areas.
The event was graced by the worthy Principal of the college, Dr. Pragya Khanna, who flagged off the rally from the college premises. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Khanna highlighted the significance of the Tricolour as the symbol of India’s unity, sovereignty, and rich heritage. She also emphasized the importance of active youth participation in national campaigns aimed at fostering patriotism and civic responsibility.
Following the flag-off, the Tiranga Integrity Pledge was administered to all participants, reaffirming their commitment to uphold the values of the Constitution, preserve the unity and integrity of the nation, and contribute positively to the nation’s development.The rally, marked by vibrant energy, saw the participation of a large contingent of students, along with teaching and non-teaching staff members. Students carried the National Flag, raised spirited slogans, and expressed their patriotic fervour with pride and enthusiasm. The air resonated with chants celebrating freedom, unity, and national pride, drawing attention from local residents along the route.The successful organization of the event was made possible through the coordinated efforts of the NSS Unit in collaboration with the Physical Education Department of the college. The main organizers were Prof. Balbir Singh, Director, Physical Education Department; Prof. Shapia Shameem, NSS Programme Officer; and Prof. Rakesh Sharma, Convener, Unnat Bharat Abhiyaan. Their meticulous planning ensured smooth ex*****on and maximum participation.The concluding session of the programme witnessed the administration of the Integrity Pledge in both Hindi and English by Shavi Sharma, NSS Volunteer, symbolizing the bilingual inclusivity and outreach of the message. The event not only instilled a deeper sense of patriotism among participants but also reinforced the commitment of GLDM GDC Hiranagar to nurturing responsible, aware, and nation-loving citizens
