Louise Simonson is one of the most influential writers and editors in comics, shaping some of the biggest stories in superhero history. As an editor at Marvel, she helped guide Chris Claremont’s legendary X-Men run, but she made an even bigger impact when she stepped into writing herself.
At Marvel, Simonson created Power Pack, one of the first superhero teams starring kids as real, relatable heroes. Her work on X-Factor introduced Apocalypse, one of the X-Men’s greatest villains. Later, at DC, she played a key role in The Death of Superman, making her part of one of the most famous comic book events of all time.
