#𝗞𝗲𝗲𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴𝟵𝟬𝟭𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗱 | jerredprice.com ~ A transformational project is on the horizon for the Memphis region!

The new “Kings’ Crossing Bridge”, which will replace the aging I-55 bridge over the Mississippi River, is one of the largest infrastructure investments in Tennessee and Arkansas history. The modern bridge will improve safety, increase capacity, strengthen freight movement, and better connect Memphis with West Memphis for generations to come.

Current plans call for construction to begin in 2027, following the completion of final design in late 2026, with the project expected to take about four years, targeting completion in 2031. Earlier planning documents referenced a possible 2026 start, but the current schedule has shifted as design work continues. (Parsons Corporation⁠)

This isn’t just a new bridge—it’s an investment in the future of our region’s economy, transportation network, and long-term growth. Kings’ Crossing will honor the legacies of three “kings” - B.B. A ribbon-cutting was held today for Belle Mont, a new 23-unit “missing middle” housing development near Crosstown Concourse. Built on a formerly vacant lot, the community features a mix of cottages, duplexes, and fourplexes designed to provide quality housing options for middle-income families.

The development is part of the City of Memphis’ Middle-Income Housing Pilot Program (MI-Pilot), which supports smaller, neighborhood-scale housing projects that bridge the gap between single-family homes and large apartment complexes. Belle Mont also includes shared green space, grilling areas, a fire pit, and plans for a future community garden to help foster a stronger sense of community.

As Memphis continues working toward adding more housing options, projects like Belle Mont demonstrate how thoughtful infill development can transform vacant land into vibrant neighborhoods while expanding opportunities for working families. I hope to see more developments like this throughout our city in the years ahead.

The funding will address major infrastructure needs, including fire suppression systems, HVAC upgrades, safety improvements, and other projects required to meet Major League Baseball standards.

AutoZone Park has been a cornerstone of Downtown Memphis for more than 25 years, serving as home to the Memphis Redbirds while also generating tourism, supporting local businesses, creating jobs, and hosting countless community events.

#𝗞𝗲𝗲𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴𝟵𝟬𝟭𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗱 | jerredprice.com ~ Mayor Paul Young confirmed on Tuesday that xAI will recommence construction of its water recycling plant for the Memphis supercomputer, with plans to resume by 2027.

The decision follows a temporary pause announced in April to prioritize more immediate projects at the site, although the plans for the water plant remain unchanged. Young stated that the construction of the water recycling plant is a crucial step forward for Memphis, its aquifer, and the city’s long-term sustainability.

The facility is expected to offset water usage for both SpaceX AI and TVA, with the city’s engagement continuing until its completion.

In light of recent Memphis political news, it’s disappointing to see people saying “they will stand with” certain politicians “no matter what”. Yet, these same people criticize Trump’s followers for doing the same. Don’t be a hypocrite just because now, it’s someone you like.
