The smile on my face was BEFORE I realized the challenge ahead of me, pictured in the second photo. Luckily, I'm not afraid of challenges, which is the same mentality I take into serving Cordova as its School Board Member of District 5.

A message from one of my children, Carolina Calvo. I can't believe she's already a senior in our school system! I am proud of all my children, who are leaders in the making.

Hi there!

My name is Carolina Calvo, and my dad, Mauricio Calvo, is running for School Board, District 5, which is the Cordova area. I am so excited that my dad is running, because winning that seat means many great things for our community. I am a high school senior, so my dad having a voice as a parent of a student who attends a public school is important to me. My dad has experience, trust, and is committed to putting the well-being of students at the center of his decisions. He supports the superintendent, while also holding her accountable because he believes that checks and balances are important. I often get asked, "WHY should I vote for YOU?" in my campaign to continue my service as Cordova's school board member, representing District 5. I'm not one to talk much about myself but since this IS a campaign, I'm happy to share my feelings on why I would love the opportunity to earn your vote.
