My heart is heavy. I feel so many of us share the weight. In a time when hope feels fleeting, creatives must carry on. We must find the light and shine a light on hope for the rest of the world.
After a pause with public-facing Spirited Muse Press works (thank you everyone who has trusted me with your individual works – I LOVE helping your voices shine!), I find myself drawn to call for a new edition, a collection of stories, poetry, artwork, and photography that focuses on the very-human theme of Hope.
Reprising the work of the Be The Change You Wish To See collection from 2018, this collection aims to focus on all ideas of Hope. Let’s share positive, uplifting fiction/nonfiction stories, poetry, photography, and artwork that evoke a sense of hope, helping humanity rise.
Submission details:
Email your original, unpublished, positive, hope-filled story/poetry/image submissions to [email protected] by May 1, 2026.
Please include submissions in one email per contributor, including your full name/pen name and Poetry submission / Story submission / Image submission, as appropriate in the Subject line. (If you submit across genres, please send only one email and include your name and whatever genres you submit within the subject line – ie Joan Smith: Poetry and Story submissions).
We will send you confirmation upon submission receipt and will send acceptance decisions shortly after deadline. This anthology anticipates publication Summer 2026.
We prefer to keep length / quantity restrictions out of submission calls, but please submit only your best, polished pieces to this anthology. We reserve the right to edit for space and tone.
