Partly cloudy skies and warmer temperatures are expected today.

Areas of fog have developed across portions of eastern Ohio through western Pennsylvania that are likely to continue into Friday morning. Most areas will experience visibility restrictions between a half mile to one mile, but localized spots could be dense at a quarter of a mile or less. Use caution if traveling through the overnight period, and prepare for rapid changes in visibility over a short distance.

The fog is expected to gradually dissipate between sunrise and 9 am Friday morning.

There is another day with the potential for severe weather on Friday. The main threat will be damaging winds. The timing will feature storms entering the forecast area by 7-8pm and crossing the Pittsburgh area by 9pm-10pm.

🌧️⛈️A cold front will move east through the area on Thursday, bringing widespread rain and a few thunderstorms, especially in the morning. 🥶🍂Cooler weather will return behind the front, with highs in the 60s to near 70 expected through the weekend.

Attention Mercer Borough Residents and Surrounding municipalities
Mercer Borough will be resuming the monthly emergency siren test this Thursday, August 21st, at 11:00 AM.

Going forward, the test will take place on the third Thursday of every month at the same time.
