Brothers of Isaac Eaton Camp No 504 will be taking part in a re-dedication of the Civil War Monument that stands in the Court House Square. The monument suffered damages from a windstorm last year and the bronze figures that were damage have been replaced. We are asking for our Camp to furnish a Uniformed Honor Guard for the ceremonies that are set to begin at 6:45PM Friday, June 27th. I would think if we could get there about a half hour before we would have time to get ready. We can meet in front of the Historical Society building and march across the street together when the time comes. Parking should be in the parking lots behind historical society and the big Methodist lot further back. If there is any changes I will try to let everyone know.

I believe it was 1991 Pittsburgh, I attended the Sons of Union Veterans Annual Encampment and there I met my old Commander General Shriver who commanded the SVR at my first event at Ft Mott, New Jersey in 1972. He was a good man and I was glad to meet up with him again. Prvt Tim Bennett and General Shriver.

Sons marched in parades alongside GAR Veterans and took part in Memorial Day ceremonies and eventually took over the Memorial duties for the GAR. The SUV is a Grand organization that you do not have to reenact to take part in. Honor their memory and be a part of History, Join the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War today.

Isaac Eaton Camp No 504 had a great turnout for our second Last Veteran Ceremony in Western Pennsylvania, this time in Lawrence County. In a small cemetery outside the Village of Pulaski, 14 Brothers, some with their wives, arrived to Honor Prvt. Edwin Ayers who served in the 78th Pa. Vol Inf. during the Civil War and was the Last Civil War Veteran to die in the County. During the ceremony a 21 gun salute was presented and Taps played.
