Merkel Police Department - Weekly Activity Summary (Sorry for the late post!)

From August 4th to August 10th, the Merkel Police Department responded to a total of 47 calls for service, maintaining our commitment to community safety and well-being.

During this period, our officers conducted 18 traffic stops, promoting safer roadways for all.

Call types this week included accidents, disturbances, suspicious activity, criminal trespass, follow-up investigations, medical emergencies, traffic hazards, and welfare checks, demonstrating the diverse range of services we provide.

We appreciate the ongoing support from our community and remain dedicated to serving and protecting the City of Merkel.
