Here's the thing about the road to great success.

It's often paved with challenges, set-backs, struggles, more than a few disappointments, and some tears.

Those who think people at the top of their game got there without these sorts of roadblocks have likely never really reached far beyond their own comfort zones and sought out their dreams.

Much of what can make a business ultimately succeed is also what makes it unique. Those who dare to dream in the first place are the ones who I admire, and when you have zero apologies for dreaming BIG dreams?

You have my heart.

Because there should be zero shame in absolutely believing you can do it all, that you can create an empire, that you can start that business, that you can bring in those high-end clients, that you can have more time with your family...whatever it is, if you have the confidence in yourself to believe that if you dream it, you will work for it, and if you work for it, then you KNOW you are doing everything in your power to make that s**z happen!

Big brands and the next big thing don't come from people who think like everyone else. They don't come from someone who feels like they have to "ask permission" to work on something, or to do something.

Do you want it?
Can you see it in your head?
Then craft a plan, execute it.
Make it happen!

The absolute worst that can happen, friends, is failure. Don't let that scare you. The road to greatness is paved with little bumps others call failure and that you can call learning moments.

🌸 Life is busy. Insert self care rituals to create a healthy you, a healthy life, a happy life.

They can come in the form of small, everyday acts, or weekly ones that require an appointment--preferably a mix of both!

Let's give ourselves this scenario:
we have 60 Minutes of Self-Care.
What's on your self care menu?

Mine:

💫15 minutes of tidying up around the house, organizing

💫15 minutes of list-making and looking at my calendar for the upcoming day/week (can you tell that organizing and lists calm me?)

💫15 minutes all by myself of relaxing and not speaking to a soul...reading, listening to a podcast, relaxing (did I already say this? 🤣)...

💫15 minutes getting fresh air outside with no tech!

💡💡 💡Alright, friends. I'm curious. If you work from home, what is your typical attire for the day?

I remember back in my college days, I had two phases - one where I rolled out of bed and pretty much joined every other classmate in wearing sweats to class, and the other where I had internships outside of class, so I had workplace attire each day.

It seems like that "style"--can we even call it that? 😂 is back, as I see our 15 year old son head out of his bedroom in these outfits that I just cannot believe he is wearing to school some days, and it reminds me of my college sweatpants-era!

I am all for a good pair of yoga pants that have never actually traveled to a yoga class, but I also usually feel that what you wear can determine your mood and so much more for the day. Getting dressed for a day of working at home can be pretty powerful, and do so much for your mindset and motivation.

I'm curious, what gets you out of the bed in the morning? Nope, I'm not really trying to get all deep here with this one...I just really want to know--is it caffeine by the gallon, or are you just one of those ultra special unicorns who runs on glitter and sunshine and can hop out of bed and start the day off with a glass of water and a smile? 🤣

Because well, I'm not.

It all started when I lived in Spain, where coffee was like agua and if someone wanted to brew it, sell it, or offer it, well, then it was a fabulous time to drink a cup.

So, I am absolutely a "Shhh....no talkie until coffee" type of person, sadly (or not, however you want to look at it).

Do you drink coffee? Tea? Soda? (or, while we are at it, what do you call soda because I love hearing THAT-- pop? coke?).

Let's be honest, we all have those days where we'd much rather hide under the blankets than face whatever it is we're meant to be doing. We're all human! But, I've found that on those days where I still need to show up, there's one hack that turns my whole attitude around. My number one tip for those days when I am feeling overwhelmed or like life has thrown a ton at me lately, is to PAUSE, and take a moment to be GRATEFUL— it works every time! I make note of all of the things in my life I have to be on so thankful for, and I think of the so very many people in this world who are having a heartbreaking times right now, and how I wish I could help.
