We've been having LOTS of discussion with customers about shooting tripods recently. The common theme is that yes you can shoot off your glassing tripod, but it's not ideal. Here's why.....

Glassing tripods are many times lightweight AND have a center column. Both of these features are not what your want for a shooting tripod. Shooting tripods like the Tricer X1, X2, & the HK-Kit, don't have center columns, have larger diameter legs, and an inverted ball head to allow movement up, down, left, & right, with a quick release to attach your rifle to. All these features collectively make for a much more stable platform to shoot off of than compared to your glassing tripod setup.

We'll continue to provide information about this topic in future posts, but until then, please contact us if you have questions about your setup or want to get into a new shooting tripod of your own.
