🎬🎉 STATE SUCCESS FOR MESQUITE ISD ADVANCED A/V STUDENTS! 🎉🎬

We’re incredibly proud of our ISD Advanced Audio/Video Production students for shining bright at the Texas Technology Students Association (TSA) State Contest this week!

🥉 Our On-Demand Video Team — Aiden Mijangos (JHHS), Jose Mendoza (WMHS), Albert Baltazar (PHS), & Sergio Sotelo (MHS) — took home 3rd place (National Qualifier) with their original video "Wonder-Man"!

🎥 In the Digital Video Production category, two MISD teams made it to the Top 12 Semifinals: 🔹 Andres Murillo (PHS), Bryan Diep (PHS), Jeremy Garcia (NMHS), Adrian Hernandez (MHS), & Kane Frailey (MHS) placed 9th with "The Paradigm"
🔹 Aiden Mijangos, Alberto Baltazar, Sergio Sotelo, & Jose Mendoza placed 12th with "The Taekwondo Teen"

📣 The excitement doesn’t stop there! Our On-Demand Video Team is heading to the 2025 National TSA Conference in Nashville, TN — hosted at the Ga***rd Opryland Resort — to compete against the nation’s best video teams, June 27 – July 1! 🇺🇸🎞️

👏 Let’s hear it for these talented student filmmakers representing Mesquite ISD with creativity, collaboration, and heart. We can't wait to see what you do next!

Mesquite ISD Advanced A/V Production is making waves at TSA State!

This week, our talented Advanced Audio/Video Production students are representing Mesquite ISD at the Technology Student Association Texas State Contest in Fort Worth!

We’re proud to announce that two of our teams have advanced to the Top 12 semi-final interview round in the Digital Video Production event, and our On-Demand Video team has been working hard on-site, creating their video entry under pressure.

The awards ceremony is tomorrow morning—let’s all show our support and wish them the best of luck as they compete among the top student creators in the state!

A team of talented students from Mesquite ISD’s Advanced Audio/Video Production class is bringing their creativity to life—one frame at a time! 🎥🎞️

For the MISD Film Festival, they are crafting an incredible stop-motion film featuring Wolverine and Deadpool in action-packed scenes! 🦸‍♂️🔥 With patience, precision, and a passion for storytelling, they’re making movie magic—one tiny movement at a time!

📢 Mesquite ISD Advanced A/V Production Students Shine at Regional TSA Competition! 🎬🏆
This past weekend, our talented students in the Mesquite ISD Advanced Audio/Video Production program competed at the North Central Texas Technology Student Association (TSA) Regional Contest at Vanguard High School. Their hard work and creativity paid off, with top students from the Mesquite ISD TEC Chapter earning spots at the TSA 2025 State Contest in Ft. Worth, Texas, April 3-5, 2025!
These students will represent Mesquite ISD as they compete at the state level, participate in STEM skill competitions, and engage in leadership activities.

Our TEC Technology Student Association (TSA) chapter is competing at the Regional Contest this week at Vanguard High School!

Our On-Demand Video & Digital Video Production Teams pre-submitted their projects last week, and today, Samantha Wade (MHS) is representing us in the Extemporaneous Speech Event.

Top finishers in each event will advance to the TSA State Contest, happening April 3-5 in Fort Worth.

This week, our Mesquite ISD Advanced Audio/Video Production students are gearing up for their Adobe Premiere Pro certification test! 🎥💻

Through this program, students gain hands-on experience in professional video production and have the opportunity to earn industry-recognized certification before they even graduate high school. ✅ This valuable credential helps set them apart in college and career pathways!

Wish them luck as they take this big step toward their future in media and production! 🎉🎞️

We are in desperate need of judges for our Technology Student Association (TSA) Regional Competition STEM events. Anyone can volunteer. We have some virtual judging slots and some that are on site. Would you be interested in judging for TSA Regionals this year – Feb 14 and 15 – Vanguard HS IN Mesquite, TX? Please click on the link below to volunteer!

Please help us out by signing up to judge - Judges will be fed Friday night and Saturday for lunch.

❄️ School Closure Announcement ❄️
Due to inclement winter weather and unsafe road conditions, all schools in Mesquite ISD will be closed on Thursday 1/9 & Friday 1/10. The safety of our students, staff, and families is our top priority.

📚 Classes and extracurricular activities are also canceled for the day. Stay warm, stay safe, and enjoy the snow (if you can)!

We’ll provide updates as needed on our district website and social media.

🎥 MSEB Presents: Bringing Stories to Life! 🎬

👻✨ In today’s lesson, we explored how to easily add animated supernatural characters to your stories using sound effects, music, 3D transparent images, and animations. From mysterious monsters to ghostly apparitions, the creative possibilities are endless! The students wanted an example, so we created this in under 10 minutes!

💡 Watch as we bring these supernatural elements to life and add a little magic to our storytelling. 🎭
