ONLINE NOW, BREAKING: LAS VEGAS — In Nevada, “Desperado” isn’t just the name of a roller coaster at Buffalo Bill’s Hotel and Casino — it’s also how three-term Democratic Rep. Susie Lee describes her GOP opponent in Nevada’s 3rd congressional district this cycle, who she described Wednesday as “a desperate man.”

The man is Drew Johnson, a think-tank veteran who came within a whisper of a 2022 seat on the powerful Clark County Council.

Johnson is running an aggressive campaign against Lee, who he calls “the most corrupt member of Congress since Menendez was kicked out of the Senate,” referring to the disgraced former NJ senator who resigned from office after being convicted on federal bribery charges.

ONLINE NOW, BREAKING: "LAS VEGAS — Donald Trump stopped in swing-state Nevada Friday to stump for his popular proposal “No Tax on Tips,” even as he picked up a potentially huge tip himself: an endorsement from departing independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

“We just had a very nice endorsement from RFK,” Trump told a crowd of 200 supporters in a Sin City restaurant’s banquet room. “I want to thank Bobby. That was very nice. He’s a great guy and respected by everybody.”

Trump used the nod from the Democratic scion to take a shot at his original opponent, who withdrew from the race after pressure from his own party.

“The Democrats treated him very badly, and then they treated Biden just like him,” the ex-prez told reporters after the event.

ONLINE NOW, BREAKING: "Two organizations said Thursday they’ve launched an initiative to increase security for Jewish students on campus this fall. The move comes on the heels of a House of Representatives committee report that none of the students arrested after breaking into and occupying a Columbia University building during anti-Israel demonstrations this spring has been expelled by the Ivy League outpost. The nation’s campuses have been rocked by protests and tent-city 'encampments' leaving Jewish students threatened. A federal judge this month ordered the University of California, Los Angeles, to maintain equal access to the school’s campus for Jewish and non-Jewish students, blasting the school for saying it had 'no responsibility' to protect the religious freedoms of Jewish students."

ONLINE NOW, BREAKING: "MESQUITE, Nevada — A veteran pol who could be relaxing at the massive Sun City retirement community here to view sunsets over the mesas is instead out stumping for votes to try to flip a volatile key district red again.

"John Lee, 69 — a former state legislator and ex-North Las Vegas mayor — was once a Democrat.

"But three years ago, disappointed with his party’s policies, Lee jumped ship, garnering national attention as he became the first elected official to leave the Democrats during the Biden administration.

"He is now trying unseat Dem US Rep. Steven Horsford, 51, in the 4th district, which by area, 'is probably the second-largest district in the country,' Lee said."

ONLINE NOW, BREAKING: "LAS VEGAS — A Democratic Congressman’s latest legislative gambit suggests the hottest Sin City bet isn’t at the gaming tables, but in the halls of Capitol Hill. One expert said the tax-free payoff could hit five figures for some workers. Rep. Steven Horsford (D-Nev.) said Tuesday he will introduce a bill to raise the federal minimum wage to $12 an hour for all workers — including those who rely on tips for services — and remove those tips from income tax assessments."

Though she spent a significant portion of her talk ripping Trump, the Democratic presidential nominee regurgitated one of his signature ideas at the top of her stump speech at the battleground state.

“It is my promise to everyone here, when I am President, we will continue our fight for working families of America, including to raise the minimum wage and eliminate taxes on tips for service and hospitality workers,” Harris told the crowd to a roar of applause.
