We were truly honored to partner with Heroes of New Orleans (HONO), a grassroots nonprofit that’s making a real difference in the lives of youth and families in the New Orleans Community.

HONO was born out of a deeply personal mission by founder Greg Ravy, who turned his own experience with gun violence into a movement for change. Since 2012, HONO has worked to make Algiers and the greater New Orleans area safer and more empowered, taking a holistic approach that uplifts not just young people, but their families and communities too.

We had the privilege of providing video coverage for today’s “Race For a Cause” event and were especially honored to film none other than New Orleans legend Juvenile, who shared a heartfelt message about his upbringing and how he wishes programs like this existed when he was growing up. His presence and words were powerful reminders of the importance of mentorship, opportunity, and community.

💪 From career path exposure to advocacy and mentorship, HONO is lighting the way for the next generation of leaders in New Orleans.
