Raising Dad Magazine

Raising Dad Magazine Welcome to the official Raising Dad Magazine page. Let me be the first to say, thank you for visiting the Raising Dad family. Raising Dad LLC.

and Raising Dad magazine is a men's parenting magazine. Raising Dad magazine, or RDM, is a parenting magazine for singe parent fathers and fatherless families. We are a centralized coastal publication that has a wide growing demographic ranging from men and father ages 20-45 in the Greater New Orleans area. As an idea I had while attending college at Southeastern College of Art and Techology as a

young single parent father. During which, In our design/publication class, we were all tasks with creating a magazine. I thought, let's do something no one has ever seen before. There should be a resource for fathers that gives a compelling view into the lives of real fathers with realistic concerns, and coming up with real solutions for them. My single fatherhood started when my son was 3 years old. At the time, when I started college, I was working up to 5 jobs and taking city transit while on a journey that was something I was quite unprepared for. What came to mind, what helped, and what drove it forward every day, was my son. What forces me to question myself everyday and fight to change myself for the better... the answer to all was the same, my son. Thanks to the communication now shared between his mother and I, our child has a much larger family that cares for and love him dearly. Our Children teach us that legacy is made true by our responsibility as parents, but also by the male figure in a child's life. They create the idea that raises hope. Parents learn from our children just as we raise them. Humility teaches us that. Let us take this journey of self discovery together and learn how we can all better learn to live together so that our children may grow in a fruitful and peaceful world; together. Welcome to Raising Dad. - Mr. Ryan Carlos Castro, CEO and Editor in Chief

We'd like to say a prayer for Houston and all those affected by the flood. This Priest and father wanted to let his son know that their piano still worked, so he sat down amidst the aftermath and in that moment created some solace. The music emanates pure emotion. This image captures so much of the human spirit. It's amazing when we have those in our lives that need us to be strong; what we do when we rise above. The people, places, things, and memories we hold dear are truly realized. Our time here on this world is precious. May we all find some solace in what we have now, in our faith, and in each other. Let us all stand up in solidarity across the globe as people who care for one another and the world. For it is all precious. Thank you for this moment. God bless!

As another father's day celebration winds to a close. We'd like to thank all of you all for all you do for those you care for. While dads can be reckless at times, it's through the abandonment of yourself and your circumstances that we will know why. We recognize dad's voice and love more clearly when we are willing to risk it all to follow our heart. We recognize the love. Happy Father's Day from Raising Dad!
