On Saturday, Sept. 13 at its “Oh, Freedom!” Gala, Innocence & Justice Louisiana, formerly Innocence Project New Orleans, bestowed the John Thompson Award for Courage and Justice to the Historic New Orleans Collection (HNOC). 🌟

The award honored the museum for its exhibition entitled “Captive State: Louisiana and the Making of Mass Incarceration,” which explores the state’s legacy of the institutions of slavery and mass incarceration. More details at theneworleans100.com
