There is nothing better than enjoying a sucker at the bank when Mom has a check to deposit!

Growing up, my mom owned (still owns) a business that was a side hustle for many years. The highlight for my sister and I was checking the PO box to see if there were checks. We'd take turns and run out of the post office telling our mom she has money!

It was such a little thing but it was so fun for us!

Now my kids and I check the PO box together and grab a sucker at the bank if there is a check. I hope it's a highlight for my kids like it was for me.

I had the biggest scare of my business owner life this morning.

In the midst of getting my daughter ready for school, I have notifications from Meta saying my account was locked.

Then my ads were no longer active due to failure of payment.

Then I check my email to see a list of failed posts.

Thankfully I had packed my daughter's lunch the night before, water bottle was full, and she's self sufficient enough to pick out her clothes and start the getting ready process.

I got the account unlocked. There was some verification that needed done. But it had been completed years ago, so I was confused.

Then I got the ads account paid up and payment info updated so all my customers' ads could keep running.

When everything went through successfully it was a relief.

But man that panic hit hard.

Now the anxiety of my little guy starting preschool sets in.

And I even had a crazy idea to offer a deal to existing customers that never got sent out.

So I stopped at the for a little cupcake for making it through all of that.

Hoping to gain some energy and motivation to get that offer put together and create some ideas for a new client offer. All while planning content for June!

Excited for some summer fun with my kiddos though ☀️

Last night I finished up working on content plans for my social media clients and sent them off for their review.

I love doing this because it gives me an opportunity to talk with my clients about what is important to them in the upcoming month. And I'm finally able to tackle this project each month in a timely manner.

What do I mean by a timely manner? Well, I am able to get it done and sent off before the next month starts. I am learning better time management and finding better ways to keep me focused and on task.

What is something you're working on today?

I'm definitely not an engineer. But I can build a hot wheels track that will keep my toddler entertained while I check emails, social media messages, and drink my coffee.

The entrepreneurial spirit is strong in my youngest child. However he is a bit of a pushy ice cream salesman for 9am.

Instead of asking if I would like ice cream, he says "you want ice cream!" 😆

Maybe I need to use that tactic when selling my services 🤔
