Political agenda! Not Academic agenda!

Repost from :(The Trump administration has withdrawn $8 million in federal funding from Chicago Public Schools
(CPS), sparking controversy over the intersection of education policy, civil rights, and federal oversight.
The money in question comes from the Magnet Schools Assistance Program, a federal grant intended to support specialized school programs and promote diversity. CPS had been awarded the funding, but the U.S. Department of Education has now withheld certification, effectively cutting the district off from the funds.
According to federal officials, CPS failed to comply with new conditions tied to the grant. These demands included:
Ending the district’s Black Student Success Plan, which provides targeted support for Black students.
Adopting different policies regarding transgender student rights that align with the administration’s stance.
The Trump administration has framed the move as an effort to enforce “neutral” education standards.
CPS leaders say the action is politically motivated and unjustified, accusing the administration of targeting diversity and equity initiatives. They argue that the Black Student Success Plan and protections for transgender students are critical to ensuring fairness and inclusion.
Chicago is not alone. Other large districts, including New York City and Fairfax County, Virginia, have faced similar funding threats under the administration’s push to reshape federal education priorities.
The $8 million loss represents only a small fraction of CPS’s overall budget, but district officials warn it could hurt programs designed to improve equity and student support in magnet schools.

Warren Buffett is admired for his wisdom on investing, but one of his most striking lessons is about marriage.

At the 2015 Most Powerful Women Summit, he quipped, “If you want a marriage to last, look for someone with low expectations.” While humorous, the point was serious—lasting partnerships thrive on resilience and gratitude, not perfection.

Buffett’s own love story reflects this. He married Susan Thompson in 1952, and they raised three children together. In the 1970s, Susan moved to San Francisco to pursue a singing career, yet their bond stayed strong. She even introduced Buffett to Astrid Menks, who became part of his life and moved in with him in 1978.

For decades, Susan, Warren, and Astrid maintained an unconventional but enduring arrangement. They even sent Christmas cards signed by all three. When Susan passed away in 2004, Buffett married Astrid two years later, continuing a partnership that had already spanned decades.

Altogether, Buffett has spent more than 71 years married, proof that commitment can last in unexpected ways. He often stresses that who you marry may be the most important decision of your life, shaping your habits, ambitions, and finances.

Like investing, marriage works best with realistic expectations, shared goals, and consistency. Buffett’s reminder is simple: choose the right partner, and the returns compound for a lifetime.
