The secret to build a healthy career fan base is a highly engaged community. You can make money by driving ads to your fans, but if you are not engaging them enough, your fan base could go down the drain and eventually might jeopardize your career.

It is important to engage your fans to develop a loyalty with your fans for your brand by engaging them in a creative way. You must be active on all your social media and interacting with them with interesting contents that are catered to your fans. In time, your loyal fans will start to share your brand to their friends and soon it will be a wildfire of free marketing by word of mouth.

You have to be interesting! If you don't know what your fans or future customers like, ask them!
Make sure to be careful of what content you engage them with, it might be a reason for you to lose a fan.

When it comes to social media, you have to feature and show that you are just like them. Most people are driven away if your brand seems to be something or someone who are trying to take their money or sell them something. Post some interesting videos or funny videos like how you share them with your family. People will know if you are only engaging them because you want them to buy your album or mixtapes.

Another way to engage your fans is by using questions on your post. Ask them what they think about certain content and how would they do it as if they are on your position. This is a another way to build great relationships with your fan base.

In order to solidify your fan base, you have to have them engage on your events. Give them shout outs and acknowledge them. Invite them to your future events or give them special treatment for being loyal to you and your brand.
