Merle and Carle Crabb, Sr. operated the Crabb Bros. Dairy in the 1920s. Their farm, Level Acres, was on what today is airport road. Carle was the delivery man and he sold advertising on his truck.

C.R. Crabb ran cooking schools during the World WarII era. Some were held in Morgan Gym and featured lots of giveaways in these sacks.

Looking forward to talking about the homefronts and POWs of Camp Ellis at the McDonough County Genealogical Society in Macomb on Sept 16. Unfortunately, the books won't be ready for distribution yet but will enjoy sharing information and stories from the book. WWII Camp Ellis Homefronts and POWs.

It has been a busy few months with the release of Washington's Homefront and the POWs, which tells of life in small-town America during World War ll, and what happens when 243 German POWs come to town to work in the local canning factory. The book was released on March 28th and has enjoyed a great reception locally and nationally. Again, C.R. Crabb Publications, LLC published a nonfiction history based on primary research. Mary Lincoln's Journey continues to expand its markets and recently noted Mary Lincoln author Jason Emerson gave a very strong endorsement of the book....see Mary Lincoln's Journey page.

Mary Lincoln's Journey goes west this evening at 6 pm in the Natrona County Library with a book talk and book signing by authors Catherine Kerr and Mary Kerr. The writing process between co-authors, the life of Mary Lincoln, and publishing will be discussed.

We recently released Mary Lincoln's Journey, a biography of Mary Lincoln written for young adults. It has had good reviews and is available on Amazon.com and at Denharts in Washington, IL.
