Today, we honored America’s heroes.
Standing among the flags and headstones, surrounded by veterans and families, we were reminded that Memorial Day is about remembrance honoring those who gave everything for our country.

Their sacrifice secured the freedoms we enjoy today, and their stories must never be forgotten.

May we always remember them.

After more than two months of saving my allowance, I’ve finally added this original WWII jerkin to the collection a proper piece of history you can hold, feel, and even smell (so says my Chief of Staff!).

A simple but essential bit of kit, these leather jerkins kept British troops warm through some truly bitter conditions.

Unlike bulky greatcoats, the sleeveless design gave soldiers far better freedom of movement especially.
